About Us

Wet Dog was inspired by and named after Mootz, my original "Wet Dog".

Over the years I modified her collars and leashes, frustrated with the rust and rot that happened to regular materials in the coastal environment.
I was working in boat canvas and had materials at hand so I started repairing her collars. Eventually I made my own using these same marine materials and added features I wanted in a collar. Finally, I found a lasting combination of functionality and durability.
Having this down I then moved on to the fun aspect of ribbon and Wet Dog was started.
