Getting the right fit means a comfortable, secure dog — and fewer returns. Use the instructions below to measure your pup, then match to the size chart for collars or harnesses.
How to Measure Your Dog
For Collars — Neck Measurement
- Use a soft fabric tape measure (or a piece of string you can measure afterward).
- Wrap it around the base of your dog's neck, where the collar would naturally sit.
- Keep it snug but not tight — you should be able to slip two fingers underneath.
- Note the measurement in inches.
For Harnesses — Chest (Girth) Measurement
- Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs.
- Keep the tape snug but comfortable — two fingers of slack is ideal.
- Note the measurement in inches.
Tip: If your dog falls between sizes, size up for comfort.

Collar lengths include adjustment range. Measure your dog's neck and choose the size whose range includes your measurement with room to adjust.

Harness fit depends primarily on chest girth. When in doubt, size up — most harnesses have multiple adjustment points.
