Wet Dog was inspired by and named after Mootz, my original "Wet Dog", a purebred Cruzan Coconut Retriever, AKA a rescue. We lived in the Caribbean, spending time on the beach then living on boats before moving to North Shore, MA & doing the same.  

I was frustrated with the rust & rot that happened to regular materials in the coastal environments so my first modification was a boat shackle to replace her collar D-ring. The idea was born. I started using more marine materials with added features I wanted in a collar. Finally, I found a lasting combination of functionality and durability.

Now I live in St Augustine, Florida, sail race with a great team, spend time at the beach with my dog Piper & handcraft my items.
